Gray Summit, New Station 1, Construction Begins

Ground breaking was held June 4, 2010 at the new location for Boles Fire Protection District Station #1 in Gray Summit. The District will be constructing the new station to include three drive- thru engine bays, living quarters, a training room, a workout room, and office areas. Construction will begin in July and anticipated to be completed by March 1, 2011. The new address will be 2600 Hwy 100 which is located near Decker Road and Hwy 100. The District has contracted several companies to complete the construction. They are Chesterfield Drywall, CSE Contracting & Services, Fire Tech, Franklin County Construction, Gildehaus Comfort Systems, Gildehaus Construction, Holtmeier-Sherrell Concrete, Jasper Development, Jay Henges Enterprises, KJ Unnerstall Construction, Koelling's Bricklaying, Lance Bremerkamp Painting, Mentz Foundations, Pride Master, Pulsifer Plumbing, Straatmann's Carpet Service, and Zumwalt Corp. This will be the final building project to complete with monies issued from a 9.145 million dollar bond issued by the residents for the Boles Fire Protection District in 2003.

08.05.2010 - Bus Collision Boles Fire Protection District Units were first on the scene along with Meramec Ambulance for a multi-victim school bus accident. The accident involved 4 vehicles, 2 of which were busses full of band students from St. James Missouri. In all 54 patients were taken to six area hospitals.&n... [learn more]
